Tobermory ( Ledaig )
Tobermory has long been a favourite malt for the blenders so always difficult to find as a single malt. This is ever more the case now. The un peated spirit produced for nine months of the year is bottled as Tobermory Single Malt, although the 15 year old is long discontinued and now the 10 year old only available from the distillery. The other three months of the year the distillery produces peated spirit under the name Ledaig, the old Gaelic name for Tobermory. This is still available, although still difficult to find. Tobermory distillery has two sets of stills and produces three quarters of a million litres of spirit.
Tobermory is open to visitors.
