Tamdhu distillery was built at the very end of the 19th century at the height of the age of the blenders. The distillery had the famous Charles Doig as its architect and then a who's who of owners over the year. Names such as Walker and Dewars right through to Edrington have all had the distillery at one time or another. Currently under the ownership of Ian Macleod the 8 year old was stopped in favour of the new 10 year old. A fantastic sherried single malt with striking packaging. What may be looked at as a small distillery, Tamdhu actually has three sets of stills and produces over 3 million litres of spirit a year.
Tamdhu is not open to visitors.
