Aberfeldy

Aberfeldy distillery - ‘The Home of Dewers’ was founded in the year 1896 by John Dewers & Sons and is located a close by to the village of Aberfeldy. Located in the Scottish Highlands near Perthshire, the distillery is found near the banks of the river Tay. Aberfeldy relies on the fresh water stream Pitilie Burn, which runs alongside the distillery. Aberfeldy is currently owned by Bacardi, who have been at the helm since 1998. In 2000 the distillery was opened a visitor centre, "Dewar's World of Whisky", and is a top visitor attraction to the area. Aberfeldy whisky is the core ingredient malt which creates the world renowned premium blend, Dewers White label. Aberfeldy has 2 wash and 2 spirit stills with a capacity of 3.5 million litres.
