Wolfburn 204 Single Malt Whisky.
A lightly peated expression from the good people of the Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso. Being the most northerly mainland Scottish Distillery, Wolfburn have utilised their unique surroundings to mature their stunning single malt.
Wolfburn is built on the site of a long defunct distillery of the same name. For the modern distillery, ground was broken on August 2012 and production commenced on 25 January 2013.
Here we have the no204, a limited edition Wolfburn. Aged in first fill bourbon for 5 years before a 6 month finishing period in madeira casks.

Nose: Wine, with a light trail of fermented berries, with shades of wool, belly, old skin, baba and carnation.
Palate: Sweet and sour, juicy red berry, slightly malty, fresh oak.
Finish: Very long, mouth-filling, like caramel with a delicate smoke.
