Glenallachie 7, Hungarian Virgin Oak. Single Malt Whisky, 70cl.

Glenallachie, located at the foot of Ben Rinnes  was originally opened in 1967 and used mainly within the Chivas Brothers blends. In 2018 the distillery was taken over and started to produce a core range of single malts headed by Billy Walker.

Secdondary aged in Hungarin oak casks. The trees in the Zemplén forest grow in rocky volcanic soil, along with its colder climate and higher altitude, means. The trees in this region grow very slowly, giving the oak a tight grain – a desirable trait for aging spirit. One of the world’s first single malts finished in Hungarian virgin oak.
