Craigellachie 13 year old, Single Malt Whisky, 70cl.
Unavailable

One of the first single malt whisky releases in the Last Great Malt's of Scotland range, the Craigellachie 13 year old. Craigellachie has long been a malt set aside mostly for blending apart from the odd independent bottling and the illusive Flora and Fauna bottling. Now allowed to shine in its own light, Craigellachie is shown to be a chunky, spicy single malt full of character. A great addition to the whisky world and to any whisky shelf.
Nose: Apple orchards in bloom, slightly meaty, burnt popcorn, treacle tart.
Palate: Oily malt arrives first, followed by BBQ pineapple and summer berries. Pine nuts and almonds.
Finish: A very soft hint of sulphur hides behind biscuit and apple notes.
