The third installment of Ardbeg's Traigh Bhan series. Following in the footsteps of the first two editions, this excellent Islay whisky was drawn from a selection of American oak and Oloroso sherry casks.
The name comes from local Traigh Bhan beach on Islay, which is sometimes known as the Singing Sands.
Nose: Chocolate-covered caramel and barley sugar with smoky leather, raisins and linseed oil.
Palate: Chewy and oily with rich fruit-cake sweetness lead, honey and barbecue smoke.
Finish: Long, dry and sweet with treacle.
