A very unique style of especially considering Mortlach's location in the heart of Speyside. Mortlach has always produced a heavy, meaty Single Malt that has been favoured by blenders and connoisseurs for its distinct, bold character. Using a convoluted style of distillation with some of the spirit being distilled twice and some three times, Mortlach is considered to be distilled 2.8 times. The distillery has six stills making just under 4 million litres of spirit a year, most of which goes towards blending.
Mortlach is not open to visitors.
