Exclusive and Independent

We have a wide range of independently bottled whiskies, some of them exclusive to our shop. They are a fantastic way to find whiskies from lesser known or more obscure distilleries or try your favourite malt in a different cask or at a different age to the general releases.

Independent bottling has been in practice for hundreds of years. Traditionally blending companies would buy spirit from the distilleries and mature it in their own casks to ensure a steady supply of whisky for their blends. This also guaranteed a steady supply of income for distilleries. Now these companies, along with more than a few new ones, bottle the casks as a single malt, usually as a single cask.
