The Teaninich Distillery is the only distillery in Scotland to utilise the Hammer Mill and Mash Filter, this system removes the Mash Tun from the distillery and creates an incredibly light wort, then big fat stills increase the oiliness of the whisky. The distillery looks onto the Cromarty Firth famous for its sightings of Porpoises.

The nose opens like an apple pie sitting on a window ledge. Grass/sweet hay. Hints of a very light citrus character. Drop of water brings out toffee and caramel and butter pastry.

The palate is very similar to the nose however your apple pie turns to cider apples and the caramel/toffee sweetness ramps up to keep it in balance. Drop of water brings out malt influence and more caramel sweetness.

Finish is rather short but leaves behind a robust and lingering apple sweetness.
