Longrow 18 year Old
The most heavily peated whisky produced at the Springbank Distillery on Campbeltown. Longrow was first created as an experiment to test if peated whisky could be made on the peninsula, after its success it has become a very popular malt among whisky enthusiasts. To this day only 100 casks are filled with Longrow each year.
The nose brings a surprisingly sweet and zesty start, with fruits such as peaches and oranges. the whisky develops to end with a very earthy and peaty character.
The palate brings forward darker flavours like dark chocolate with gingerbread but also a sweet coffee sensation. The fruits develop into a wonderful taste of rhubarb and custard sweets.
The finish has the wonderful peaty Longrow finish, very long lasting which brings touches of dried fruits and bitter dark chocolate.
