Glenlivet Nadurra Peated
Its Glenlivet modern characters of fruit are here but with a nod back to its roots when the used to use lots of peat back in the day, (as most of the Speysiders did). The whisky is finished for a time in heavily peated casks which once contained a heavily peated malt.
On the nose although it’s a cask strength is softer than you may expect its slightly smoky a little bit earthy with some mild honey notes, to taste very creamy and tropical fruits come forward to the mix orange pineapple and very mellow for a 61.5% dram! To finish it’s quick to leave but has some soot and smoky notes that linger a tad.
