Glengoyne 12 year old
Glengoyne Distillery have never used peat to dry there barley since they began in 1833. They dry their barley with hot air producing one of Scotland’s truly unpeated malts. This light, pure character is present through the entire range.
The 12 year old Glengoyne uses Oloroso sherry casks as well as ex bourbon and brings a richer fruitiness to the whisky. Green apples and vanilla come together with a hint of toffee and sherry oak on the nose. The palate is soft and sweet with citrus and barely and again a little toffee.
