Glen Moray Peated
A lot of the Speyside distilleries have returned to their origins and are bottling peated malts. Often they simply finish their whisky in peated casks to give the distinct smoky notes. However Glen Moray acutally switch production to peated barley for a few months each year.
Hidden beneath the sublte light golden colour is a rich seam of smoke. Layers of peat with background of vanilla. Tangy rhubarb and hints of leather. Instant peat smoke, lightly spiced with ceamy vanilla, followed by a long sweet and spicy finish.
