Ballechin 10 Year Old Heavily Peated, Single Malt Whisky, 70cl
First released in summer 2014, Ballechin's 10 year old is the first ongoing release for Edradour's peated malt. Named after a now silent distillery which closed in 1933 located near the Edradour site in Pitlochry
Nose: Oily malt, whiffs of burnt ends and BBQ char, a few touches of apple and fig.
Palate: Chewy dates and oak, with smoldering peat bringing spicy heat to the palate.
Finish: A hint of ash sticks around on the finish.
