Tasting Notes

Nose:

massively fresh and fragrant, the sort of intensely creamy sherry notes I haven’t nosed for a good while. So much so that you’d no idea of the peat’s presence. Tomato chutney sweetness. Plum jam. Cherries. Maple syrup. The peat feels more like black tea under so much fruit. It’s surprisingly balanced, considering the strong flavours.

Palate

excellent, tart quality, continuing the sort of tomato chutney notes from the nose. The peat is again masked by layers of red fruits, cranberries, raspberry jam, with a layer of sundried tomatoes and a touch of balsamic vinegar acidity. Ginger warmth on a ridiculously long finish. Slightly drying in the mouth, cloying on that finish, but a delight.
