This range of rare aged Single Malt and Single Grain Scotch Whiskies is bottled exactly the way the distiller intended: without colouring or chill-filtration, and at cask strength. This expression part of the extra special Black Series is a single cask Mortlach single malt., has spent 30 long years maturing in a refill hogshead. 267 bottles were filled from this cask.

  • To begin with the nose is dry but warms to a gentle spiciness with apple peel and honeyed barley. On the palate sweet and creamy with buttery nutmeg milk chocolatey notes and charred oak.  To finish long andlingering Fruit soon develops with gooseberries in cream and a little pear drop. Spicy ginger and cinnamon linger in the background.
