GlenDronach 18 Year Old 1995
This is a vintage bottling of the GlenDronach 18 year old. Bottled at cask strength. Nestled away just outside of Huntly in the north east, GlenDronach is one of Scotland's oldest licenced distilleries, founded by James Allardice in 1826. Renowned for using high quality sherry casks, Glendronach has long been a favourite amongst connoisseurs.
Succulent raisins and sultanas drenched in spiced honey deepening to roasted coffee grounds, hints of fresh herbs and crisp caramelised orange. A fantastic subtle chocolate fudge note brings an added sweet dimension to the moreish ever changing nose.
Zested orange over lashings of sweet dates and prune syrup which combine with a dusting of mocha and cocoa to fill the robust body. Delicate oak spices, distant clove and cinnamon merge with gentle waves of barley grist to bring a refined crisp influence to the long classic sherried finish.
