The oldest distillery on Islay still in operation after opening its doors in 1779. Located in Bowmore, the largest town on the Island, which with a population of roughly 860 people is not saying much. This edition has been matured in first fill Bourbon casks, and is named after the famous No. 1 Vaults at the distillery, "with more maturing history than anywhere else in Scotland".
