Glenkinchie 12 Yr Old 70cl

Known by The Edinburgh Malt moniker, Glenkinchie is the geographically closest distillery to the city. Rarely seen, the vast majority of the distillery's annual output is reserved almost exclusively for blending; owing to it's light and simplistic character, typical of the Lowland style. Glenkinchie coalesces a sweet viscous honey character with rich malt and herbal suggestions, building to a mild, fruit-spice finish-a fine introduction to an accessible malt style.

The Glencairn Glass
Often referred to as the Malt Blender’s Glass, The Glencairn is the official malt enthusiast’s glass and represents the first conception of a purpose-built, dedicated glass for whisky. Every aspect of the design has been formulated to promote the better enjoyment and understanding of every aspect of a whisky’s character; the conical, tulip-bowl form inhibits oxidisation and aids in the carriage of the aromas to the nose; the wide bowl improves observation of the liquid’s colour and form; and the absence of a stem and balanced weighting make the glass light and comfortable in hand. No true malt enthusiast should be without one.

Innis and Gunn Triple Matured
A locally produced craft ale from a rising independent star of the boutique brewing world. Few other brewers can boast the unique method of maturation employed in the making of Innis and Gunn, combining a 99 day maturation in three refill oak casks promoting a character which is at once smooth, light and approachable-the liquid softened and refined by the sweetening effects of the oak-but so too rich, rounded with an unending and full body offering notes of caramel with mild cinnamon, toasted hazelnut and dried raisin; punctuated by a subtle, vanilla creaminess.

Edinburgh Rock
An evergreen icon of Edinburgh and the small-batch confectioner’s art. Celebrating the extinct volcano upon which the city’s imposing castle sits, these sweets have been produced by Gordon and Durward of Crieff; one of few independent Scottish confectioners who take pride in to this day employing the traditional methods and means of producing these classically Scottish sweets. With the inherent, melt-in-the-mouth texture and a range of flavours encompassing lime, ginger and exotic fruit.

In the unlikely event that a component of a set hamper is unavailable at time of purchase, we will endeavour to replace it with a similar substitute and, in any case, will contact you prior to taking payment to ensure the replacement is suitable for your requirements.
